Position can be located ineither Aurora, CO or Pleasanton, CA Essential Functions: - Establishes and evangelizes the Pharmacy Data Warehousing strategic plans and objectives - Responsible for Pharmacy BI/DW data architecture standards and governance - Standardize data management infrastructure - Responsible for Pharmacy data warehouse deployment and integration with source systems. - Creates and/or approves project plans and application designs to ensure projects are aligned with standards and IT strategy. Approves standards, policies, and procedures. - Assist Information Management leadership in identification of future projects / enhancements - Ensure data warehouse performance meets service level agreements - Seek to become a partner with the business and gain a working knowledge of the business - Manage patches and upgrades to data warehouse environment - Provides expert technical and functional leadership and problem resolution to teams - Coordinates with multiple teams and suggests solutions in support of technology needs of the business unit or function served. - Assigns and reviews work. Allocates appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other software applications. - Maintains working relationship and coordinates with several teams to integrate project with applications and/or initiatives. - Coordinates communication about project status to all levels of the organization. - Prepares and/or provides budget input for ongoing and future expenditures, monitors budget performance, and provides forecasts. Monitors departmental performance against budget. - Coordinates and oversees recruiting, interviewing, hiring, career development, performance management, pay determination and team communication. - Identify opportunities to improve solutions, tools, methodologies, processes and procedures - Present the business with the possibilities available to them through data warehousing - Collaborate with other leaders across the organization to develop best practices. Establishing partnerships with key IT partners in support of data warehousing initiatives - Liaise with strategic vendors - Managers must deliver commitments and must deliver on time. They will maintain a highly detailed plan and manage the progress on it, tracking all relevant metrics for each the projects and operations (Milestones, Issues lists, Operational SLAs, change management, etc) Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Master's degree in related field and/or 6 years ofequivalent work experience. - A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible IT management experience in planning, budget/financial management, and staffing. - A minimum of 5 years of data warehouse development experience in leadership capacity or a minimum of 5 years performing the following functions: Performing an enterprise data architecture role, including the development and enforcement of data standards and leading practices; Using data modeling techniques for large data stores; Working with business and IT personnel on data-related issues; Database design, performance tuning, and optimization; Designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses and large-scale business reporting - Expert understanding of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence development, and data - Previous experience leading teams of 20+ team members. - Experience in managing ETL, Data Modelingand DW teams.
