PhD Scholarships, Infrastructure Assessment Job in Melbourne 3000

The School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering within the College of Science, Engineering and Health has an establishment of around 70 staff, including leading Professors and Research staff, covering the disciplines of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

An exciting opportunity is available for two PhD candidates to join a multi-disciplinary team in developing models and methodology in service life prediction of infrastructure in general and underground pipelines. You will be expected to hold a good first degree or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience in one of the following areas will be considered advantageous:

•  Structural reliability and/or risk analysis of infrastructure,

•  Materials and structural deterioration,

•  Solid and fracture mechanics,

•  Numerical and programming skills.
