Our client, a leader in the trading industry, located in Montreal, is looking for a PHP Programmer to join their team.

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the PHP Programmer will be responsible for creating and maintaining web systems as well as interacting with clients on a regular basis. 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, defining and creating new tools to optimize the division’s productivity
  • Supporting users when needed
  • Enhancing the current system and structure for new functionality
  • Designing interfaces that are user friendly and meet company guidelines
  • Testing, migrating and monitoring the new infrastructure
  • Creating documentation for new tools
  • Testing of new programming when completed


    Qualifications:

     

  • 2+ years of programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, CSS and/or Symfony
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are fluently bilingual in English and French.  At minimum, conversational French skills are required
  • Able to meet deadlines, work as part of a team and keep yourself organized
  • The successful candidate will be a self started who doesn’t need a lot of direction
