Physical Steel Trader (Flat & Long Products) – China recruitment
Senior Steel trader Physical, Flat Long Products, Paper, Commodities, South East Asia, Location; China - Shanghai:
We are currently working with a leading global trading house, based in Shanghai who are seeking a self-motivated senior physical steel trader the chance to join their operations in China. The incumbent will report to the regional head manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing flat, long products from Chinese producers, and to support Asia / Global team sourcing from China.
Responsibilities:
• Physical Steel trader – Flat long products
• Range of good industry contacts / manufactures
• Familiar with Chinese steel mills, strong relationship with some Chinese steel mills is essential
• Familiar with local steel market with experience in Asia Pacific region will be an advantage;
• Customer/supplier focused and willing to work under pressure;
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in steel trading and sourcing;
• Be willing to be based in Shangahi
• Be prepared for travelling to drive business forward.
• Highly numerate, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term sustainable relationships.
• Team player
• Proficiency in written and spoken Speak English / Mandarin
