Position Summary
Responsible for assisting nursing staff and physician in evaluating and treating patients. May performs diagnostic procedures, drug screen collections, laboratory blood draws, and assists with clinical procedures. Responsible for maintaining testing equipment, supplies and procedure logs. Manages employer random selection processes. Performs other clerical and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate with six months to one year formal education or training beyond the high school level.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Prior experience functioning as a medical assistant, administering care to patients, assessments, and triage calls. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Basic math and computer skills.
KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE
One to two years medical office experience required.
