Pipeline / Subsea Engineers (various grades) Job in Aberdeen, Grampian Uk

Our clients are UK based global engineering and consultancy companies that provide support to a wide range of organisations to help them to provide safety, reliability and performance of assets, people, systems and processes across all areas of exploration, production and transport of energy products both before and after refining.

 

The job

 

We are looking for Pipeline and Subsea Equipment Engineers of various grades with experience in the offshore oil and gas industry to undertake some or all of the following tasks:

 

• Carrying out design verification /appraisal of offshore related equipment and of general industrial equipment as required, documentation review, report / certificate writing, quotations, invoicing etc.

• To be sub-sea pipeline engineer acting in an advisory and supportive role for the field surveyor.

• Conformity assessment of equipment under the requirements of European Directives.

• Deliver assigned projects and consistent technical solutions to clients.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design

• Member of professional organisation

• Masters Degree/Chartered Status required for the more senior posts

• Over 3 years minimum experience in Onshore Offshore work environment in particular pipeline / subsea equipment engineering design including FEED and detailed design and analysis

• Strong understanding of general engineering principles (e.g. mechanics, dynamics, hydrodynamics, fatigue, stress, integrity, design of pipelines)

• Pipeline design of high pressure and high temperature service conditions

• Ability to perform independent calculations and analysis on On-Bottom stability, Lateral Upheaval buckling, Spanning, Expansion Analysis, Cathodic protection

• Familiarity of the procedures and practices of Verification and Certification as applicable to the design based on UK Norwegian legislations.

 

Some posts are very much office based and can include working in Aberdeen and/or Manchester
