Duties/Responsibilities
Manages a portfolio of planned giving prospects who are likely to be donors in support of university-wide initiatives or for an assigned college or unit. Possesses some knowledge of gift planning strategies, deferred giving vehicles, personal solicitation and fundraising in general.
Job Duties:
1. Participates in the development and implementation of various gift planning programs, marketing initiatives and communications strategies.
2. Manages a portolio of prospects mostly at the level of $25,000 and above for outright and planned gifts.
3. Identifies, cultivates and solicits prospects and stewards donors: works with administrators, faculty, staff and volunteers as appropriate.
4. May be responsible for one or more planned giving programs such as direct mail, seminars, etc.
5. If assigned to a college or unit, may be responsible for creating and implementing a development plan for components within the assigned college or unit, including resource management.
6. Participates in University-wide development activities as needed.
7. May lead staff in the absence of the director.
8. Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Requires a 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
