Planning & Analysis Manager

We have an opportunity available for a Planning Analysis Manager supporting our Grain business unit. This role will be based in our St. Louis, MO office and will interact with all levels of the organization.
Overview:
Serve as a key resource and driver of the financial performance of the designated business unit(s). Key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
Essential Functions:
• Assist in providing the financial information and analysis needed to build the business unit’s effectiveness, profitability and position for growth.
• Assist in providing analytical support and advice to the business unit’s commercial, trading and operations management teams.
• Coordinate planning / budgeting and forecasting for the business unit’s operations.
• At the direction of the Director of Planning and Analysis or of other senior business leaders, provide BNA senior management with the information needed to capitalize on growth opportunities.
Key Job Duties:
• Annual Plan:
o Coordinate and contribute to the development of the business unit’s annual business plan.
o At the direction of management, provide analysis of risks and opportunities for designated business unit(s).
o Provide analysis and feedback on performance against the annual business plan to senior management.
• Strategic Planning:
o Coordinate preparation and submission of strategic plans, profitability analysis and business forecasts on an annual basis, or as assigned.
o Provide insights for supervisors into long-term challenges and opportunities.
• Capital Budgeting:
o Develop and analyze financial models to support capital project proposals.
o Compile timely and robust project applications for submission to senior management to support investment proposals.
o In coordination with the Director, Planning and Analysis, develop annual capital budgets.
o Assist in coordinating and communicating ongoing changes to the capital plan.
• MA Target Identification and Support:
o At the direction of the Director, Planning and Analysis, develop financial models to support growth opportunities for Bunge’s business in targeted geographies.
• Forecasting:
o Compile and analyze monthly financial forecasts including PL, balance sheet and working capital analysis for assigned business divisions / geographies.
o Develop a robust forecast-to-actual reconciliation process; work closely with business unit managers to explain variances and improve forecast quality.
• Management Reporting:
o Develop and compile a monthly written financial analysis for assigned business divisions / geographies.
o Assist in the development of clear, concise and insightful financial reporting for senior management.
o Support collection and reporting of safety and other PQSE data required by BNA.
• Cost Analysis:
o Perform ad hoc cost/benefit analysis as necessary to improve management’s understanding of various industrial processes associated with the business unit’s operations.
• Other:
o Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, and/or a related discipline
• At least five years’ experience in a finance related role with a strong preference for experience in agribusiness, food processing or other related industries
• Very strong computer skills, aptitude / proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• SAP and Hyperion experience a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated understanding and personal commitment to Bunge’s core values and willingness to actively advance Bunge’s key capabilities
• Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
