Planning Analyst-Systems
Primary Function : This position will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of inventory planning for nine
distribution centers servicing end customers and in-network replenishment.
Principal Duties Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for maintenance of the inventory planning system. This system applies our inventory strategies (both service and order) to the forecasts for nine distribution centers.
Responsible for working with supply chain partners to develop strategies that allow the company to meet aggressive customer service and inventory performance targets.
Reviews and analyzes planning data to prepare reports for management review.
Serves as a liaison with Inventory Replenishment, Distribution Operations, and Product Management.
Performs ad-hoc analyses as needed.
Meets regularly with supply chain partners to discuss the impact new product introductions, promotions, and seasonal planning will have on inventory, the DCs, and vendors.
Identifies and recommends enhancements to supply chain systems to improve utilization ofinventory.
Preferred Education Experience:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or related field.
Experience – 2 to 4 years experience in analysis with an emphasis in logistics and/or forecasting/planning.
Ability to find creative solutions to problems and means of improvement.
Certification in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and/or Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus.
Understanding of key financial and customer service ratios.
Working knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Suite, particularly Advance Planning Optimization a plus.
Proficiency in Access, Excel, and Word.
Requires knowledge of downloading and uploading information via mainframe and PC systems.
Work Environment:
Able to travel, as required

$300 million of inventory within the Distribution Center Network. This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction by ensuring high levels of product availability through active management.
