Planning Engineer
This Joint Venture is made up of one of Australia’s largest contractors and two international infrastructure specialists who have come together to construct a 1+ Billion dollar motorway through central Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed knowledge of the M E construction methodology to enable development and understanding of the M E construction program, recognising and maintaining awareness of the M E critical path
- Understanding of the global project program and the interaction of the tunnel and M E programs, recognising and maintaining awareness of the global critical path
- Monitoring of surface construction activities to enable production of monthly progress reporting
- Assist in the production of monthly reports to the client, Project Executive Committee and parent companies
- Understanding of key resources and their allocation to provide management through the M E program
- Identify risks and opportunities to the program from construction methodology or resource management
- Review of three monthly programs produced by the M E teams to provide feedback on their compatibility with global milestones
- Manage the M E program to maintain an accurate project cash flow
- Understanding of project systems and procedures so that they are recognised in program timescales and to identify / recommend improvements and offer feedback
- Develop and monitor construction planning processes to assist in the achievement of the construction program
- Participate in the development and training of other team members in the use of programming software
- Provide information, seek feedback, consult and interact with designers, project staff and subcontractors to ensure the project objectives are promoted
- Demonstrate a desire to keep abreast of technical and market developments
- Be an active member of the Alliance Team, promoting the project culture and values, maintaining good morale and a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
- Set a standard of excellence in all aspects of performance
Key Requirements:
- Experience with Primavera P6
- Bachelor of Engineering or Equivalent
- Knowledge of Astor Power project ( Not Essential )
