Full Job Description
As a Finance Manager your major accountabilities will include:
- Managing a team of one Finance Analyst, effectively manage the global budgeting and forecasting process.
- Produce consolidated, regional and business unit level financial plans and forecasts.
- Executive and management-level commentary highlighting key dependencies and issues influencing results and actions that might be taken to address.
- Effectively manage the timetable for all planning and forecasting processes globally. Providing clear and concise guidelines supporting each cycle.
- Ensure that each planning and forecasting cycle is delivered to the Executive Committee and Group "right first time, on time".
- To develop and enhance financial planning and forecasting processes in line with feedback received from stakeholders, anticipating and incorporating new requirements as appropriate.
- Working closely with the MI and Business Analysis team to develop and enhance the Reporting and Analysis team`s use of financial systems supporting the planning and forecasting process.
- Set standards for all work across the team including the development of MI and ensuring that all deliverables are reviewed prior to publication. This should include the standardisation of processes and outputs across the team.

As a Finance Manager your skills, qualifications and experience will ideally include:
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Understanding of financial systems and processes
- Working to tight deadlines
- Taking a proactive approach
- Managing expectations and prioritisation of tasks
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor
- Ability to challenge and drive forward change
- Experience in a Finance Manager role, managing junior team members.
- This should have been obtained in a global consolidation role, ideally within the asset management industry.
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with senior management and Executives.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements within a Finance function.
- Good understanding of all financial disciplines and reporting developments.
- Experience of effectively managing resources across teams, across a number of initiatives.
- Experience of working with overseas operations and effectively managing relevant cross border information flows.
- Experience of building and implementing a long term plan for the development of a team.
