AECI’s Thomas Hill Power Plant, an electrical power generating facility located at Clifton Hill, Missouri, utilizes coal for combustion in the boilers to furnish steam to the turbine/generator that produces electrical power for distribution to our member cooperatives.
The Engineer’s main responsibility is to develop, test, install, and maintain equipment, including but not limited to software and hardware applications along with instrumentation to support the achievement of plant reliability.
Education/Experience required:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience and must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Understanding of programming experience, possess integrated knowledge of different control technologies, and be proficient at control schemes whether with the distributed control sys-tem (DCS) or a programmable logic controller (PLC).
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media and possess the discipline to follow established methodology through completion of a job.
Maintain a competent level of technical professional skill and knowledge in position-related areas stay informed of technological innovations changes in the industry.
Possess engineering expertise in areas associated directly with the utility industry.
