ROLE SUMMARY:

The Reference Data Program has a mission to realise a competitive advantage through the strategic delivery of consistent, accurate and timely reference data, front to back across the Investment Bank. The Reference Data Program is one of Credit Suisse’s key strategic initiatives.  The program is sponsored by the IB CFO, and comprises the Client and Product (Instrument)  and Contract Lifecycle Management sub-programs.  The accuracy and timeliness of our reference data is a critical enabler to providing a service that our clients admire and in enabling us to respond to regulators effectively.  The Reference Data Program aims to ensure this through establishing single master databases (Golden Copies) for quality-controlled client and product data, migrating all departments to use this data, and implementing clear data ownership and governance.     
Typical responsibilities include:
• Producing various monthly Reference Data program governance materials;
• Producing various monthly Reference Data program status reporting, which will consist of risks, issues and dependencies;
• Consolidated Reference Data plan tracking;
• Management of Reference Data program communications including newsletters and updating the centralized Reference Data Program web-site.
+            Policing and chasing for regular progress and status updates
+            Ensuring timely escalation of risks and issues from the sub-program managers
• Working with the PMO Metrics Lead and the program managers to regularly update the program business case and to plan and track business benefit realization.
+            Supporting the sub-program managers' preparations for their governance forums.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

You will report to the head of the Reference Data ProgramManagement Office (PMO). As part of the PMO you will be responsible for providing centralized support to the Reference Data Program manager and his/her direct reports, as well as aspects of the planning, management and monitoring of the of the program.  The project teams are mainly based in New York although the Overall Program Manager and the PMO Manager operate out of London.  Consequently the role requires a strong and experienced individual who can work independently.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

Essential
• Extensive PMO experience
• Very good understanding of project management methods and approaches
•             Ability to work independently, self-motivated, driven and task oriented
• Extremely strong organisational skills
• Ability to convey and report clearly, accurately and concisely through written and verbal communication
• Strong capability with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
•             Good knowledge of investment banking business processes – front to back
• Experience acting as intermediary between business line and IT to ensure optimal delivery against requirements
• Solid knowledge of IT, including experience of IT-oriented projects, user requirements development, and testing
• Successful track record of taking ownership and resolution of tasks and issues
• Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Timely escalation of project issues and risks

Desirable
• PMO Certification or PRINCE2 Practitioner or other Project Management Certifications

Beneficial
• Knowledge of the banking regulatory environment
•             Previous experience with Credit Suisse
•             Reference Data experience
