Portfolio Manager – Allocation Strategies (Emerging Markets Debt) recruitment
The NBIM Allocation Strategies department has the responsibility for the overall risk positioning of the fund, overlay positions establishing total fund exposures and the management of dedicated portfolios in chosen market segments. The Position Management group is responsible for managing Allocation Strategies’ own positions and fund overlay positions.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to further strengthen the Position Management group.
The position is located in New York and some travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitor and evaluate the effect of economic, political, geopolitical and market events
• Develop and maintain a database of relevant economic and financial data
• Develop and maintain proprietary quantitative valuation and risk models
• Generate new investment ideas based on contribution to portfolio risk and expected returns
• Manage a subset of the overall Emerging Markets Debt portfolio
Main Qualifications:
• Master’s degree with strong academic records
• 2-5 years’ experience from emerging markets fixed income and currencies, preferably from execution/PM role
• Strong knowledge of Excel, VBA programming skills and knowledge of FactSet and/or Microsoft SharePoint preferable
• Flexible mindset with an ability to quickly shift priorities when needed
• Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
