Portfolio Manager – Index Commodity Management recruitment
The UBS AM product offering includes ETFs, pooled funds and segregated mandates based on physical and synthetic based exposures.
Benchmarks range from mainstream domestic and global indices to highly customised solutions all supported by leading edge proprietary technology. The team has experienced significant asset growth from is global client base over recent years and has well developed plans for further expansion.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced portfolio manager who can make a significant contribution to the ongoing development of the team. We are also willing to consider exceptional individuals with proven relevant experience willing to be trained in the role.
The main duties of this role will be:
• lead portfolio management responsibilities for index commodity (including precious metals) strategies as well as providing back-up support. Responsibilities will include portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, cash flow and currency management, index analysis and report writing
• contributing new ideas to the investment process
• supporting client and consultant relationships
• assist in new business development opportunities
• undertaking research pertinent to commodity index-tracking
• contribute to the maintenance of index systems and database
The successul candidate will:
• have a strong track record in managing indexed commodity portfolios benchmarked against major indices
• management experience of index commodity swaps, futures and physical investments
• be able to demonstrate a high degree of numerical and analytical ability
• have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• hold the IMC and hold or be willing to study for the CFA
• demonstrate a strong knowledge of commodities
• have fluent English with German an advantage
