Portfolio Manager Infrastructure in Amsterdam recruitment

Following a thorough introduction period, you will become jointly responsible for making investment decisions and managing the existing portfolio of unlisted equity investments in infrastructure assets in Europe and the Americas, in close consultation with the fund manager and fellow (Senior) Portfolio Managers in both Amsterdam and Hong Kong. You will contribute to sourcing, developing and managing the infrastructure investments and will also report on portfolio developments. You will monitor trends and develop insights in the infrastructure investment marketplace, contribute to developing investment policies for our global portfolio, and grow your professional network, internally as well as externally.

You will be based in Amsterdam.

The part of the Alternative Investments platform, ‘Building Block Infrastructure’ that you will work for, is deploying capital through a global mix of infrastructure funds and co-investments, with the primary focus on co-investments going forward. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic candidate who wishes to develop in the position of Portfolio Manager.

We ask:

• You are a university graduate in economics or business studies, currently following (or willing to follow) a postgraduate (post-doctoraal) professional program, such as CFA or VBA
• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• You have knowledge and an understanding of infrastructure projects and/or project financing. An MA background with relevant industry experience will be an advantage
• You are a generalist with affinity and/or interest in a wide set of investment management work streams, from market forecasts to legal and tax-related topics, which you are ready to address working closely with relevant specialists
• You are decisive, entrepreneurial and able to work in a disciplined manner, either independently or as part of a team
• You possess strong analytical skills as well as expertise for quantitative and statistical analysis
• You have excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, persuasive powers and negotiation skills.
