Your main responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager (STAAG) is required to carry out the following core duties:
- Implementation of multi-asset / multi-sector strategies
- Cash management
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Enable Portfolio Construction, Risk Budgeting, Market/Macro Reporting and Client Reporting.
- Initiate improvements in portfolio construction processes.
- Initiate improvements in the operational set up of funds/mandates
Your experience and skills
Relevant University degree
High Ambition level
Good Knowledge of a wide range of financial instruments used in multi-asset / multi-sector strategies
-Strong Interest in multi-asset strategies and rotation strategies within asset classes (e.g. Equity Sector/Region/Country, Commodity Sector, FX, etc.)
Your competencies
Thoroughness and an inquisitive nature towards falsification of results/calculations Thoroughness and an inquisitive nature towards falsification of results/calculations
Willingness to obtain a thorough understanding of the foundations of decision theory and modern portfolio theory
Solid communication skills.

Within the multi-boutique structure of ING Investment Management Europe, the Strategy TAA Group (STAAG) is responsible for managing a wide variety of multi-asset / multi-sector institutional and retail portfolios. STAAG specializes in top-down investing, which it applies to a range of long-only, long-bias and long-short strategies by utilising the combined inputs of its Strategy, Portfolio and Quantitative teams.
The Portfolio Manager will primarily focus on implementation for a variety of multi-asset/multi-sector strategies. In addition the Portfolio Manager is supportive in matters relating to Portfolio Construction, Risk Budgeting, Risk Monitoring, Market/Macro Reporting, Cash Management and Client Reporting.
The role is a clear starting point for a further career within the Strategy TAA Group.
