Portfolio Process Architect Job in San Francisco, California US

Please note this is a 6 month contract position.

Responsibilities:
• Drive process engineering excellence across all aspects of portfolio management
• Leverage your knowledge and skills gained from years of delivering complex technical projects to optimize our project portfolio management (PPM) processes
• Lead the introduction of new or improved processes and tools
• Use program management and project management practices and tools to integrate planning processes
• Act as the Product Owner (PO) for the Infrastructure Portfolio Management application including maintaining a backlog of enhancements, defining requirements, developing user training, and collaborating with developers
• Address concerns and obstacles to process adoption
• Promote continuous improvement and foster innovation
• Exhibit a high level of ownership, team building, and stewardship of defined processes
• Create and iterate processes tools across all dimensions of portfolio management (e.g., intake, prioritization, scoping, selection, execution, etc.)
• Build consensus and gain buy-in to changes by interactive and transparent communication
Experience/Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
• 6+ years hands-on technical program management experience using both waterfall Agile methodologies
• 5+ years experience with process building/stewardship roles
• 3+ years experience building portfolio management processes tools
• Experience, planning and leading in fast-paced, high growth, ambiguous technical environments
• Extensive experience with project portfolio management (PPM) practices and successful application to large, complex, technical projects and portfolios
• Experience with ppm toolsets such as CA Clarity, HP, Powersteering, Planview, etc.
• Experience with BPR techniques such as Use Case/Activity Diagrams (actor-centric, UML), Six Sigma, Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), or Visual Process Manager
• Ability to establish credibility with senior executives and technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to articulate complex concepts and facilitate meetings in a fast paced technical environment
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, matrixed environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills and team oriented collaborative approach to problem solving
• Experience using Agile tools such as Greenhopper (Atlassian) or ADM
• Experience using common productivity tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and document sharing such as Google docs)
• Understanding of technical infrastructure delivery processes
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while being flexible and responding to changing requirements

Experience/Skills Desired:
• Experience delivering training to users of new changed processes
• Experience delivering technical infrastructure projects

• SaaS/Cloud computing
• PMI PMP or similar certification/training
• Scrum Master certification
• Technical hands-on experience as a SW developer, Sys Admin, DBA, Storage Engr, or NW Admin.
