Power Industry-Sr. Project Manager Job in Richmond, Virginia Us
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager that specifically has Power Industry experience. This candidate will be doing project estimating, preliminary scopes of work, and scheduling for a client of ours in the power industry.
Experience/Qualifications/etc.:
* Would prefer a Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer although not required
* Looking for 10 + years of experience
* Previous power industry "Project Manager" or "Outage Manager" with a lot of project experience
* Needs to have experience working outages at a power plant
* Looking for a technical person who has experience with project estimating and project field work
* Needs to interact with corporate engineering and station operations personnel
* Needs to interact with corporate environmental and safety personnel
* Needs to have experience with permits and know how this will affect the schedule
* Will be required travel on a regional basis to clients power plant locations
* Strong ability to multi task. Will be expected to work on multiple projects at the same time - roughly 10 to 20 projects at one time.
Types of BOP (Balance of Plant) projects candidate would be working on:
* Heat Exchangers
* Air compressors (1000cfm - 10000cfm)
* SCR Catalysts
* Cooling Towers
* Fire suppression systems
* Elevators
* Piping (fire, fuel oil, etc.)
* Chimneys, stacks
* Combustible Dust (Conveyors, Dust Collectors, Suppression systems)
* Overhead Cranes
* Damn (Wicket gates/draft tube valves)
* Large Hopper relining or replacement
* Pumps
* Structural Projects
