Compensation: $ 85,000+/- (Commensurate with Experience)

Our Client: Is a privately owned manufacturer and marketer of a diverse line of building materials and specialty products that include lumber, hardwood and softwood plywood, engineered wood products, decorative melamine, particleboard and specialty panels.
IDEAL CANDIDATE will bring to the table:
- BS Technical Degree in related field or experience equivalent.
- Experience with wood fired boilers and steam turbine generators
- PLC Control troubleshooting experience
- Project Management Experience
- Experience training and mentoring direct reports
- Experience with daily operations, maintenance and repair of the steam power generation production, equipment and systems
- Experience in establishing and training crews in KOI benchmarking and “best in the industry” performance.
SUMMARY:
· This position is responsible for maintaining best in class performance in plant safety, availability, reliability, maintenance, environmental compliance, and cost.
· Responsible for 3-100% Biomass Fuel Stationary Grate Boilers that total 550,000 lbs/hr of steam capacity and 5 Steam Turbine Generators that total 40 MVW capacity
· The Power Plant Superintendent will apply leadership skills and seasoned judgment to shape, align, and execute the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives for company success at the operational level.
· The Power Plant Superintendent will guide operational staff by leading, coaching, creating and fostering open dialogue, and inspiring trust.
· This position will build strong internal and external relationships to facilitate activities and meet operational needs.
· Supervises 21 direct reports
REQUIREMENTS
· Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or demonstrate comparable experience.
· Preference given to applicants having 5 years experience operating and supervising in a powerhouse with wood burning boilers and electrical power generators.
· Applicants must demonstrate a solid understanding of power plant operations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to achieve results; drive and manage change; and manage financials, budgets, economic analysis, and forecasting at the operational level.
· The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong ability to champion open communications and serve as an informational conduit between the plants and corporate headquarters.
