Dermatology practice in the Vero Beach area has a great opportunity for a Practice Manager.
Job Requirements:
· Manage the daily office operations, workflow, work schedule of a fast-paced dermatology surgery practice
· Responsible for staffing and supervising all staffing levels to maintain an effective and efficient front office and back office clinical practice.
The Practice Manager:
· Develops and implements short- and long-term work plans and objectives for front and back office staff.
· Assists front and back office staff in understanding/implementing practice policies and procedures.
· Recruits, assumes the hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of front and back office staff.
· Provides performance development and address performance management issues for all direct reports
· Maintains relationships with outside vendors, insurance company contracts and affiliated relationships.
· Has the ability to handle and resolve patient issues in a compliant fashion.
· Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts,' including generating chart numbers, filing and pulling charts
· Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
· Oversees and approves office supply inventory, ensuring office equipment is maintained, ensuring that mail is opened and processed, and offices are opened and closed according to procedures.
· Manages daily operations and coordinating the work activities and schedules.
· Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
· Ensures that all business functions are operative and that all processes are effectively and efficiently in place.
· Reviews processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
· Actively participates as a member of the management team.
· Attends Managers Meeting as required.
· Leads by example.
· Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
· Other duties and projects as assigned.
· Maintains patient and medical staff good will and the confidentiality of records.
· Interprets office policies to patients. Communicates rates, charges and services to patients.
· Maintains adequate records with regard to all collections.
The Practice Manager Qualifications:
· Bachelor or Associates degree in Health or Business Administration is preferred
· A minimum of 5 years office manager experience in a medical practice. Experience in dermatology is preferred.
· Certified Medical Office Manager designation is preferred
· Knowledge of fiscal management; Basic Quickbooks knowledge
· Experience in medical records, coding and reimbursement
· Understanding of human resource techniques, principles and practices
· Computer knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database, and general accounting
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, policy making bodies, third party payers, patients, and the public.
· This individual should be flexible, self-motivated, dedicated to high quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
· Strong organizational skills
