Practice Nurse Band 7
A Locum Practice Nurse at Band 7 needed to work for the MoD, at their Royal Naval Health Centre, HMS Drake, Plymouth.
Dates required: 01/10/13 - 31.03.14
37.5 hrs per week
You will be responsible for all Primary Healthcare nursing services delivered to a patient population of over 4000 patients and support to RN Ships and Submarines. As a Senior Nurse you will be responsible for the leadership and management of a team of clinicians and administrators, some of whom are undergoing training.
You will also be clinically and administratively responsible to the Principal Medical Officer of HMS Drake; and professionally accountable to the NMC for matters relating to scope of practice, professional conduct and continuing professional development.
You must:
Have a relevant experience in Primary Health Care practice with preferred experience within an Armed Forces medical centre.
Hold full NMC registration and be eligible to work in the UK.
Have full immunisation history - TB, Hep B, Rubella, Measles
Tutoring/mentoring qualification e.g.: SLiAP, ENB 998, PGCE
Have Clinical Governance training/experience
Breast and cervical screening trained
Immunisation and travel health trained
Family planning trained
Sexual health certification.
