EXCITING PRE-KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL AGE TEACHING POSITION

Classroom: Children ages 4 to 12 years

                    Assistant Teacher position

Job Type: Full Time

Assistant Teachers work closely with Lead Teachers daily to maintain safe and fun learning environments for our children. We are looking for energetic and experienced teachers who will form relationships with our families and our children, as they develop each and every day. Lakeside teachers are given opportunities to grow and develop their careers through trainings here at Lakeside and off site.  Lakeside prefers individuals who have experience and will dedicate longevity with the business for consistency with children and families.

Lakeside is open Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. through 6:30 pm. Insurance is available for full time teachers. Lakeside is state licensed for 149 children, ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We have been in business since 1992- 20 years! Lakeside is a family owned and operated academy.

To be considered for this position, you must meet all Lakeside and State Licensing requirements:

·         Must be 18 years of age

·         Must have HS diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

·         12 months of experience working in a licensed child care facility is preferred

·         Understands responsibilities as a mandated reporter

·         Keeps the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children

·         Completes timely and accurate documentation according to Lakeside policies and State Licensing requirements

·         Ability to assist Lead Teacher with curriculum and lesson plans

·         Ability to think outside of the box with activities

·         Ability to lead children on field trips

·         Must excel with family communication

·         Must be able to sustain a high level of energy; both indoor and outdoor activities with the children

·         Attends and participates in teacher meetings,  and center events

·         Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required

·         Clean background check and driving research

Lakeside is located in West St. Louis County; .2 miles south of the Big Bend and Dougherty Ferry Intersection.
