Pre-Sales Consultant – Reconciliations Software

SunGard's IntelliMatch solution suite can efficiently meet the diverse reconciliation, exception management, financial governance and archiving needs of tier 1 financial institutions across all lines of business, including cash and securities operations, brokerage, derivatives, asset management, trust and custody, fund administration, and insurance.

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Pre-sales Consultant who can work at all levels within an organisation, to effectively deliver the business and technical features of the IntelliMatch solution set. The successful candidate will support the EMEA sales organisation, identifying and qualifying customers' business and functional requirements in order to obtain project estimates, and further identifying solution gaps to communicate back to Product Management.

Core Duties:
o Support the sales effort by demonstrating the solution directly to prospective clients as well as at trade fairs and other events
o Respond to RFIs, RFPs and customer queries in a timely and professional manner
o Clearly articulate the benefits and value proposition of the IntelliMatch solution set
o Build customer relationships by providing business and solution expertise
o Help build and maintain global Pre-sales processes, supporting documentation and collateral
o Support the development of new business opportunities across SunGard segments
o Become a market expert by becoming aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives, as well as understanding the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market
o Work with Marketing and Product Strategy teams to identify and research new market verticals and opportunities

Position Requirements:
Essential:
o Proven pre-sales experience
o Understanding of pre- and post-trade operations across the financial services industry
o In-depth knowledge of reconciliation, compliance and exception processing
o Understanding of the full sales cycle, from market research through contract signing
o Good grasp of technology / technical concepts
o Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements
o Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
o Ability to prioritise, and multi-task
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Outstanding presentation abilities

Desirable:
o Experience working across EMEA
o Experience of working with SQL Databases
o Experience of Crystal report writing
