Pre-Sales Solutions Architect Job in Superior 80027, Colorado US
As part of the Pre-Sales Management team, the Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (PSSA) will work to support all ITG solutions (S1000D, ATA/Flight Operations and Hosting, Research Methods and Technology, Engineering and Training Services) in the effort of securing new clients and opportunities. The PSSA is responsible for strategic architectural solutions that will secure prospective sales opportunities. The PSSA will work with a team including support engineers, sales executives and developers to build requirements, designs, assembly and presentation of generic and tailored demonstrations to address real-world needs. This includes: working with the Global Solutions Architect and line of business technical leads as a collaborative driver of solutions.
The PSSA will actively participate to RFP/RFI responses and customer engagements to provide technical direction and solution design expertise. The PSSA will assist in the creation of sales and marketing artifacts.
This position works cross functionally with all departments including S1000D and Engineering, ATA and Flight Ops, sales, pre-sales, marketing and support to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive solutions to meet strategic customer needs
• Provide technical direction, vision, and oversight to the technical and development teams to ensure that the overall implementation aligns with the business strategy
• Define, review, and architect solutions to address complex requirements
• Present, demonstrate, and defend solutions internally and externally
• Actively participates in complex sales efforts that require architectural direction and design and help build responses to RFI/RFP
• Works in collaboration with Sales, Global Product Architect and the operation lines to elaborate on technical aspects, feasibility, reusability, and competitiveness of solutions being delivered
• Takes the role as internal expert on the solutions architecture for strategic clients
• Provides detailed feedback to product management on emerging customer and prospect business requirements to help define and prioritize additions to the product roadmap
• Vets, refines, and challenges level of effort estimates as part of proposal efforts to ensure that they are accurate
• Collaborate with executives, line managers and other stakeholder groups to identify and refine business objectives and translate these into technical designs and strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• B.S. degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years as an Architect or equivalent
• Aerospace domain knowledge and exposure to aerospace maintenance practices, flight operations or OEM content development
• Expert with S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, or DITA standards and data impacts on the architectures
• Knowledge and proficiency in XML Information Architecture, DTD/Schema Development
• Experience with Java, JSP/servlets, JavaScript, Omnimark, RenderX and/or XML tools.
• Experience with web application servers: Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, etc.
• Experience with Windows OS, RDBMS database systems (e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle, XML databases)
• Working knowledge of SGML/XML authoring tools (Arbortext Editor, XMetaL, etc.)
• Solid understanding of software design/development principles, the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and software debugging techniques
• Solid understanding of aerospace technical concepts
• Experience with a Document Management System (i.e. Documentum)
• Travel requirements up to 35% of the time
