Pricing Actuarial Analyst – International Property Casualty recruitment
Main Responsibilities:
- Participating in the design and build of new actuarial pricing tools used by underwriters.
- Maintaining and streamlining existing actuarial pricing tools, including working with senior team members to update parameters and methods.
- Liaising with senior actuaries, underwriters and other departments across London and Europe.
- Ad hoc account pricing work supporting the Employers Liability, Public Product Liability and Middle Market underwriting teams.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
Ideally, the jobholder will have the following skills and experience:
- Good university degree in Mathematics or heavily numerate subject
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills including a working knowledge of Visual Basic for Microsoft Excel.
- Part way through the actuarial exams
- One to two years of General Insurance work experience helpful although not essential as will consider candidates with Life experience
- Ability to be self-supporting, taking responsibility for the timely and accurate completion of specific tasks
- Ability and willingness to communicate with both peers and senior personnel.
