Pricing Manager
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for developing and managing a team whose primary focus is in business operations, pricing and sales support. The Pricing Manager will be responsible for the preparation of business proposals, change proposals, and task orders including, but not limited to, commercial fixed price, cost type, time and materials, and contracts.
A key component of the role will be to drive operational and back office standardization in the product set without limiting the “Wow” factor to the customer. The Pricing Manager will strive to understand the customer’s price point and working collaboratively with our culinary, sourcing and production teams to drive margin and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will support pricing activities and cost volumes as needed.
- Mentor and train junior transfer pricing personnel
- Value intangible assets and perform financial modeling
- Participate and lead functional analysis interviews
- Manage junior staff in preparing economic, financial and industry analyses
- Manage, prepare and deliver transfer pricing studies
- Oversee transfer pricing services within a particular geographic region
- Market and sell transfer pricing studies to prospective clients
- Works collaboratively with Executive Culinary Chefs, Production Chefs and Sourcing Analysts to ensure sourcing for all materials meets our criteria during the menu and recipe design process.
- Works with the culinary team to complete menu grids from the menu database where applicable, and ensure new design options are limited and are well defined to drive margin, increase productivity and are sourced before presenting
- Drives continuous improvement within the price planning step using a structured methodology such as Six Sigma
- Provides detail reporting on project timelines and status updates
- Tracks to and improve key performance indicators
- PL improvement with each design effort
- Specification accuracy as tracked by operations and controller feedback
- On time delivery of specification to next step within the change process
- Manages up to 2 Specification Analysts including their performance, personnel issues and day to day supervision
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
- Must have 5+ years of food service management experience
- Must have food product knowledge across all food groups
- Experience with SAP highly desirable
Job Skills:
- SAP experience is highly desirable
- Intermediate to Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
