Pricing Service Specialist recruitment
Project Summary Position Overview:
Thomson Reuters Pricing Service (TRPS) delivers validated evaluated prices to support portfolio, fund and single security valuations. With over 100 fixed income and derivatives pricing professionals in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Bangalore it provides evaluated prices on over two issues, including bonds, RMBS, ABS and derivative securities.
Due to growing demand for evaluated pricing, the Thomson Reuters Pricing Service is seeking pricing services business development expertise to join the team as a Pricing Service Specialist.
The role would be based in Enterprise Division structure, and would require coordination of sales efforts between end client / prospect and production group based in Enterprise Division and sales channel based in GSCS structures. The role requires taking full ownership for TRPS support of evaluated pricing opportunities within a region and hands-on coordination between stakeholders of the process until the closure of the opportunity.The role would include responsibilities to coordinate the onboarding of new TRPS clients into the TRPS client service model, leveraging divisional resources include Product Specialists for DataScope support and collaboration and coordination with GSCS representatives.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Role requires the following essential day-to-day responsibilities:
- Manage pipeline of TRPS prospects, update pipeline on recurring basis
- Present offering of TRPS to prospects, current clients (up selling on existing client base)
- Directly support GSAM Sales through close collaboration and coordination and delivery of pricing expertise in prospect/client meetings and discussions
- Contact on regular basis existing clients to inquire about quality of service and provide this feedback to the product group
- Coordinate flow of trial requests, insure closure and issues management of pricing inquiries and challenges
- Follow up on opened trials, inquire about expired trials that did not end with a sale
- Create and maintain database of opportunities (pipeline), opened trials, expired trials, wins, losses, deal summaries
- Provide TRPS key client oboarding coordination and TRPS client relationship through defined process for initiation of TRPS pricing service
- Provide regular client reviews of service performance, solicit client feedback, partner with Business Owners and Product Management on key service and product actions / enhancements

Skills
Relevant education in field connected to finance or quantitative subjects is required. At least a Bachelor degree in Finance, Mathematics, or other maths-related field. Masters preferred. Series or CFA certification highly preferred.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years market experience in portfolio management, trading, research, valuation / pricing with significant industry connections and relationships; Mandarin, Japanese, etc. language skills are a plus
- Exceptional relationships with buy/sell side investment management, administrators and financial services partners
- Expertise in global financial markets and in specific, the trading, execution and valuation of fixed income and highly structured / illiquid debt and derivatives
- Strong business development experience building relationships and driving strategic direction of complex information solutions
- Evaluated pricing subject matter expert based on deep understanding of instrument pricing, valuation or trading
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial markets with focus on quantitative fixed income and derivatives
- Proven sales or sales-related and negotiating skills
- Ability to network and build internal and external relationships
Desired skills:
- knowledge of foreign languages a plus
- prior experience in dealing with clients abroad a plus
- genuine interest in fixed income or derivatives a plus
- knowledge of third party software solutions a plus
- CFA charter holder or Series certified candidate a plus
- Other relevant Fixed Income certifications a plus prior experience as trader, research analyst, quantitative analyst, portfolio manager, valuation / pricing expert with significant industry connections and relationships
- Exceptional relationships with buy and sell side investment management firms, administrators and financial services partners that open new client and sales opportunities for Thomson Reuters PRD business
- Expertise in global financial markets and in specific, the trading, execution and valuation of fixed income and highly structured / illiquid debt and derivatives
- Strong business development experience building relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of a complex information solutions.
