Prime Brokerage Support Analyst, Investment Banking recruitment
The role is that of an experienced support person in a team dedicated in ensuring that the Prime Brokerage suite of applications and infrastructure are available and supported in line with defined service level agreements.
Provides day-to-day application (GUI and server-side) production support for the APAC Prime Brokerage and Equity Finance product suite, diagnoses problems, and resolves production incidents with all types of trade flow and middle office feeds. Defines, tests and communicates change requests and major system upgrades.
- Strong relationship with the regional Operate teams, the business, Application Development (AD) and other inter-dependent Application Service Delivery teams
- Logging, tracking and resolving pre and post-trade system problems for all components.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of proactive monitoring systems for the production environment.
- Experienced front-to-back technical support
- Knowledge sharing and development of less experienced team members through team work and infoshares
Skills
- Several years experience working in a financial institution, preferably Securities Lending and Synthetic trade flow support
- Knowledge of best practice in change, problem, incident, configuration and system health management (e.g. ITIL)
- Compliance with all IT and Controls policies
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time
- Ability to fully document solutions
- Clear and accurate communication style
- Proactive, adaptive, independent and self-managing
- Monitoring Alerting experience
- Batch / Job scheduling experience
- Proven capability to lead a project initiative or a team is essential
- Incident Management experience essential
Tech or App Experience
Self starter with confidence to drive issues through to completion in highly pressured matrix environment
- Familiarity with trading terminologies and trading types (PB-EF)
- Multi-disciplined technology skills including:
- Web: Good skills in Apache, Tomcat, VPN, DNS, Firewalls
- Messaging: MQ and distributed architectures
- Windows: Working Knowledge of (NT, XP, 7), Excel and MSAccess/VBA
- Language: Basic understanding of JAVA, JSP, HTML, Javascript, VBA, XM
- OS: Strong Linux/Solaris skills including UNIX shell scripting, perl, SSH, LDAP
- Database: Oracle database skills, with strong understanding of SQL and Stored Procs
