It provides a systematic, disciplined approach to examine, evaluate and report objectively on the adequacy of both the design and operating effectiveness of the systems of internal control and risk management and governance processes. Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Auditor GBS UK Europe reports to the Principal Audit Manager being in charge for this area in Group Audit, who in turn reports in the Chief Auditor GBS. The Chief Auditor has global responsibility.
The Principal Auditor will support the Principal Audit Management in the risk assessment, planning, execution and delivery of audits covering GBS and will also provide subject matter expertise to the CIB and PCAM GA teams as those teams perform front to back reviews of the various business lines supported by GBS.
We are seeking for an audit professional, who will be capable of responding to any changes in the way the function supports business lines across CIB and PCAM and will add value to the decision-making process. The successful candidate will also support the management of the GBS relationship and in this role is required to pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, GBS and respective support areas.
The candidate will be required to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks involved in GBS in accordance with Group Audit's Methodology and the established risk assessment framework, to contribute to Risk Assessment Profiles/ Business Monitoring and overall implementation of Group Audit Methodology and to implement dynamic planning through continuous monitoring of GBS processes and developments.
The Principal Auditor is required to undertake audit assignments, draft audit reports for review by audit management and facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues and in this capacity might lead the team. The candidate will be required to complete all work assigned to them on a timely basis. This may also include ad hoc projects and investigations.
The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop relationships across the Deutsche Bank franchise and to communicate orally and in writing the results of their work to clients at all levels. They will understand the client's marketplace and respond to expectations and will continue to develop technical expertise relevant to the industry.
Location is London, but occasional travel may be required.
