Position Description

Group Audit is seeking an audit professional at Vice President level within the Human Resources team, reporting into a Principal Audit Manager (PAM) for Global Logistics Services, Human Resources and Chairman who in turn reports to the Chief Auditor (CA). The PAM and CA have global responsibility for the covered infrastructure areas.

The Principal Auditor will be responsible for controlling timely and accurate completion of work including execution of audit work.  The core responsibilities of this role are:

• Executes day-to-day operational audit work on the basis of DB Group Audit Methodologies (conducts business monitoring and risk assessments, designs tests to assess control effectiveness for key risks, drafts audit reports).

• Key HR areas of focus include on- /off- boarding of employees, payroll, talent management and compensation processes and in addition may include also areas such as procurement and accounts payable processes, controls related to oversight and management of outsourced processes.

• Discuss exceptions found during fieldwork with Principal Audit Manager and participate in exit meetings, draft audit reports for review by audit management and facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues.

• You will be leading a team on individual assignments, and will be required to implement dynamic planning through continuous monitoring of the business and successfully implement risk based audits both locally and globally.

• The position offers you the opportunity to develop relationships across the Deutsche Bank franchise and to communicate orally and in writing the results of your work to clients at all levels.

• You will be required to pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally (e.g. Risk, Finance and Information Technology (IT)) and globally.

• You will understand the client’s marketplace and respond to expectations and will continue to develop technical expertise relevant to the industry

• Develops and maintains broad financial services experience and Bank knowledge. Keeps abreast of business/industry changes and their affect on the DB respectively audit plan/approach.

• Completes audit work/assignments in line with agreed budgets.

• Participates in internal projects and potentially in Special Investigations.

• Communicates with Principal Audit Manager regarding audit progress and escalates problems/delays.

• Partners with other groups during audit engagement to ensure an integrated approach (e.g. technology teams).

Job Requirements

Essential skills

• Previous investment banking experience (8 - 12 years) and very good knowledge of corporate finance and transaction banking products, as well as the related infrastructure support functions.

• Significant audit or business experience in a major Investment or Custody bank is a pre-requisite.

• Strong knowledge of HR core processes and the ability to identify and evaluate risks associated with these processes supplemented by knowledge of core GLS processes such as procurement, vendor management.

• The ability to demonstrate that you have an innovative mindset and can develop ideas, which are implemented and have a positive impact.

• The ability to multi-task assignments and prioritise your workload with limited supervision and be resilient under pressure and be able to deliver to deadlines.

• Excellent written / verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with the client.

• Team player and be able to work well with the Audit team.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Preferable Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or MBA
