Principal Consultant

Rullion Elite are working with a market leading company that acts as a Payments partner to the banks and corporates, for a role as Principal Consultant within their Global Transaction Services area, to go on-site to their banking clients and shape and form projects.

The main responsibilities will be to:
-Provide internal and external consultancy in business requirements, process design, and solution architecture.
-Provide an interface between Sales/Product to COO (IT Delivery).
-Generate revenue via client and prospect engagement.

This will involve establishing customer requirements at a high level and then in further detail where a proposition can be created and a proposal developed, costed, priced, and submitted. You will present solutions at an Architectural level, guide client selection (of processes, services, and technology), design solutions for bid responses including working with the proposition team to understand customer requirements and providing solution-related guidance throughout the RFP/RFI process.

You will also support company and client innovations by translating new business ideas into practical implementations, design necessary business processes, evaluate and recommend off-the-shelf products and internally/externally developed components, and document complete solutions. You will also act as the technical/functional authority on development projects, responsible for reaching final decision on disputed or ambiguous areas by clarifying underlying business drivers, researching relevant sources of information, and drawing on expert opinion as required.

This is an exciting role as the consulting arm of my client's business is still in it's infancy, so if you want a role in which you can help to shape the business then this would suit you. Paying between £70,000 and £85,000 (dependent upon experience) with a car allowance, great benefits, and excellent bonus potential, this is a an excellent opportunity for the right person.

Essential skills/experience:
-Strong domain knowledge in either Payments or Core Banking systems.
-Excellent experience of all aspects of solution architecture, including business processes and software components.
-In-depth experience of early-stage requirements gathering and elaboration, solution conception, and architecture.
-Good commercial acumen, with an understanding of possible solution trade-offs such as cost, scope, timescale, and balance between long-term strategic and short-term pragmatic considerations.
-Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technology.
-Ability to translate business needs into solutions requirements and to translate attributes of complex solutions designs into business language.
-Excellent customer facing skills, including written, verbal, and pictorial communication, as well as excellent interpersonal skills (facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, influencing).
