PRINCIPAL LEAN ENGINEER
The Principal Lean Engineer will serve as a member of the Gaffney plant Lean team charged with transforming the plant into an organization that internalizes lean philosophy with all leadership actions and decisions. The person will assure that lean language and lean culture is being implemented and will assist the plant's lean manager in developing the plant's strategic Hoshin plan and supporting plans to meet business plan targets. Specific responsibilities include: Lead lean transformation through daily interaction with management, staff, and plant operatives. Lead cross-functional, large scale teams on lean projects that improve internal / external flow and connections. Train and educate plant associates on lean leadership and lean tools. Mentor and coach PDCA (plan, do, check, act) thinking process to drive root cause problem-solving. Be the plant subject matter expert in using lean tools (5S, zone control, standard work, TPM) that highlight problems that hinder process stability. Be the plant expert on identifying and eliminating waste in processes.
