Principal Oracle DBA required for a large financial organisation in Bradford.
Purpose of role:
To provide Database Administration Services for organisation wide, business critical relational databases residing on Unix, Linux and Windows Server hardware across the company.
To provide effective 2nd and 3rd line support on a 24 x 365 basis for databases and the associated database technology stack across all development, testing and production environments.
To develop, maintain and deliver effective Group wide capacity management and performance monitoring and tuning services for databases and the associated technology stack.
To provide Database Administration Services for organisation wide, business critical relational databases residing on Unix, Linux and Windows Server hardware across the company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
Advanced level of Administration, Installation and Management of Oracle Database Server (Mandatory)
Advanced SQL skills (SQL*Plus) (Mandatory)
Extensive experience of Performance Analysis, Optimisation and Capacity management of business critical corporate databases (Mandatory)
Advanced understanding of database security; data integrity and database auditing (Mandatory)
Advanced skills in the usage of Oracle Grid Control (Mandatory) and other Database and systems management and monitoring tools
An in depth understanding of Database technologies – Oracle (Mandatory), SQL Server (Optional)
Exposure to multi-database enterprise scale environments
Extensive experience of UNIX and/or Linux operating systems
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
Oracle Data Guard
Oracle GoldenGate
