Position Description:
Job Summary:
Lead organizational change using leading process improvement (lean-sigma, etc) methodologies to drive towards group objectives. Leading and monitoring project initiatives that are in concert with WMS annual and long-term goal to increase profitability, customer satisfaction, internal execution process improvement through better tools, best practice identification and application, elimination of non-productive activities, and overall streamlining of field tech work processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Focus on solving Business Process Problems through the application of business domain expertise, Lean methods, and other applicable concepts.
- Work with leaders of service regions to plan and implement specific improvement projects aligned with increasing productive tech time, reducing non-productive time, and improving tech work/life balance through streamlining, eliminating or automating administrative functions.
- Ensure sufficient improvement projects are in process or in the pipeline to meet organizational productivity goals.
- Demonstrate accountability and improvement with metrics. Help to develop metrics to show customer, field tech, or fiscal impacts.
- Define opportunities for improvement projects that will impact growth, customer satisfaction, productivity improvements and that drive functional excellence in all departments.
- Research and test new tools and techniques, and identify best practices with plan development to rollout those new techniques, tools and practices to the field.
- Facilitate, lead and manage large cross-functional project improvement teams to deliver result for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Assist in the delivery of training programs, tools and incentives.
- Conduct written and oral project updates for senior managers.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of Lean-Sigma initiatives and events.
- Assist in the documentation of business processes, procedures, and policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Change Management Initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred or work experience equivalent
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in facilitating or leading improvement initiatives
- Experience with a variety of business process and practices
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated record of successful project completion
- Demonstration of strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Demonstration of good team facilitation, strong teamwork skills, and motivational skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Project Management skills
- Proven ability to accomplish goals through collaborative effort
- Ability to train Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement concepts and processes
