Prison Nurse Vacancies
Hays Healthcare is looking to recruit reliable, enthusiastic and dynamic staff nurses (RGN) to work in the HMP Prisons in West Yorkshire. You will need to commit to a minimum of 3 day shifts per week and have recent clinical experience within an NHS setting. Contract and block bookings available.
For this role ideally you will have experience working in fast paced acute settings, emergency or triage departments. Working in a prison is a challenging role and nurses who have worked on AE, AMU, MAU or other types of secure units should have transferrable skills to adapt to this environment. You will be working as part of a team, but must also be able to manage your own case load and act as emergency first responder.
Other type of duties can include to work within wider prison multidisciplinary teams to deliver a holistic approach to care, triage prisoners and attend emergencies within the prison. You will also be carrying out assessments on prisoners and constantly alert to changes in patients’ conditions and the implications in terms of care.
