Key Accountabilities:
• Providing a consistent, credible and accessible point of contact for a portfolio of clients building and deepening client relationships, assessing opportunities to improve client profitability.
• Undertaking pro-active client service reviews to identify opportunities and build relationships.
• Creating a stable revenue base that is appropriately diversified to minimise the influence of external market forces and protect each individual client’s portfolio.
• Contribute to business profit and sales targets by referring criteria clients to Private Wealth bankers smoothly and consistently, having identified the potential of the client.
• Act as the point of reference for resolving escalated client issues.
• Manage complaints within your portfolio and undertake care calls in respect of any complaints.
• Ensure all client interactions and product sales are conducted in line with the bank’s suitability policy and client suitability framework (including the completion of robust Investment Risk Assessment Profiles) where appropriate.
• Input timely and accurate client information as required by all the client information systems.
• Manage risk by adhering to internal controls and procedures, and via evaluation and judgement of risk (including of lending proposals).
• Preparation of client correspondence, including credit applications.
• Promote active use of alternative channels including online banking. Maximise client engagement with the bank’s standard research suite to minimise the volume of bespoke product enquiries.
• Act in accordance with the regulatory requirements set out by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Monetary Authority of Singapore MAS in addition to any relevant standards set out by the RBS Group’s main regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
• Ensure efficient co-ordination of workflow to ensure client satisfaction.
• Systematically gather and act on all client feedback to generate meaningful improvements that enhance the client proposition and our operational efficiency.
• Maintain understanding knowledge of the application of sales and marketing processes, relevant regulated non-regulated products, services, procedure and reporting requirements, plus money laundering and compliance regulations.
• Work as part of a unified team, supporting other team members in times of absence or heavy workflow. Build and maintain segment/industry knowledge and share this with colleagues.
• Undertake training development in prescribed processes and activities, securing relevant accreditations where regulatory or internal requirements dictate the need to do so.
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in banking or financial services with a broad understanding and knowledge of financial products services
• High level of relationship skills. Sales, risk and business development experience desirable.
• Numerate and reasonably high level of IT skills.
• A broad understanding of the banks systems processes preferable
• Experience / acceptance of a sales targeted environment
• Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised, but also as part of a team
