Our Private Clients Deals Advisory team is focussed on assisting privately owned businesses undertake MA transactions. We provide a variety of deal advisory services, acting for both buyers and sellers, including services such as financial due diligence, business valuations, vendor assistance, lead advisory services, capital raising, strategic planning and financial modelling.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Deals Advisory team, with a particular focus on taking a leading role in our business valuation practice.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record providing business valuation and other deal related services to small / medium sized businesses. An ability to connect with business owners and to become their trusted advisor is paramount.
You will be expected to build and service a portfolio of clients and to coach / mentor a high quality team. You will have a track record of winning client business and delivering high quality client outcomes. In addition you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a candidate with business valuation experience to broaden their skill-set and take on advisory work across the entire deals continuum (e.g. due diligence, lead advisory, capital raising) and to play a pivotal role in a growing team. You may also extend your work to management consulting engagements (e.g. business strategy, process improvement, working capital management etc).
Experience and Skills required:
- CA qualified and completed a relevant tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce or related discipline
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience providing business valuation and other deal advisory services to small / medium size businesses
- Strong analytical and consulting skills and professional judgement
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- To be highly numerate and proficient in report writing
- Analytical and have the ability to problem-solve and identify unique solutions
- Strong values that reflect personal integrity, commitment and ethics
- An ability to build positive and effective relationships both within the firm and with our clients, to contribute to the growth of the business.
- To work well in a team environment, including a willingness and ability to coach and mentor junior staff
- Self motivated, confident and proactive.
