Accounting services to privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs and high net wealth families and individuals.

Role Description

It is expected that the Tax Management Officer will perform a number of roles that are critical to the effective running of the practice including the following specific tasks.

1) Perform the critical support processes underpinning the Private Clients tax return management system including:

Tax Reporting

Run reports on a regular basis including reports to ensure the latest ATO lodgement due dates are populated in APS Tax Manager; and Standard Tax List reports for distribution to client partners, directors and managers to review and ensure the tax agent listing is up to date.

Manage ATO Mail

Receive, sort, scan, file, distribute and monitor ATO tax mail.

Tax Return Monitoring, Follow up and Lodgement

Follow up with client teams re outstanding SFS packages still with clients, coordinate with partner PAs once received to arrange tax agent signature, update held for lodgement dates, attend to electronic and paper lodgements with the ATO and file any SFS paper packages once lodged.

ATO Portal support

Assist practice staff with access to ATO portal and ongoing support and maintenance of the tax agent lodgement listing.

Client Banking

Taking cheques to banks, daily when required.

2) Perform tasks to support client service team as necessary including:

Client Correspondence

Receive, sort, scan and file paper mail to the relevant client team member

Client data management

Maintain client data to ensure continued integrity. Run client compliance lists for managers to assist with portfolio management and workflow.
