Private Equity Associate: Pre-MBA recruitment
Candidates will be intimately involved with all aspects of the private equity business from evaluating new opportunities to executing transactions and monitoring the portfolio. Responsibilities for the position will include:
Constructing complex financial models;
Composing internal approval memoranda, letters of intent / term sheets, and other deal documents;
Assisting in all aspects of due diligence, especially industry research and financial analysis;
Monitoring portfolio companies’ financial performance and working closely with management teams;
Identifying and contacting potential investment opportunities;
Assisting with marketing initiatives and investor relations (LPs); and
Participating in meetings with management teams, MA intermediaries, and financing sources.
Associate Role Qualifications
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of investment banking, commercial banking, private equity or project finance;
Experience with LBO, MA, leveraged finance and/or project finance transactions;
Excellent financial, modeling, and analytical skills;
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills;
Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with exceptional academic achievement;
Mature and professional candidate who is a self-starter willing to accept a large amount of responsibility;
Very strong work ethic, organizational skills, desire to learn, ability to multi-task, and resourceful.
Past energy experience a plus, but not required
