About our client
Our client is a well-funded independent private equity investor focused on the German-speaking markets. They manage active funds for both LBO and growth investments
Responsibilities
- Market facing origination as part of the deal team, sourcing attractive new investment opportunities for growth and buy out deals
- Screen opportunities, lead due diligence and be fully involved in the process through to closure, including internal investment committee documentation and presentation
- Post-investment asset management, guiding the portfolio towards exit, including where appropriate working with third party stakeholders
Skills we’re looking for
- Strong academic record
- Private equity investment experience in the German mid market
- Strong, analytical skills and rounded commercial judgment
- Prior professional training, likely at a consulting firm, investment bank or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; the ability to build effective long term relationships with Mittelstand owners; must show partner potential
- Native German / fluent English
- Wide professional network and a natural talent for origination
