Private Equity – Management Accountant recruitment

THE COMPANY

Our client is an independently owned private equity partnership headquartered in London and with investment offices both here and in continental Europe.
The business has over £3billion assets under management, serving over 100 highly regarded institutional investors, including private and public pension funds, endowments, insurance companies and fund of funds.
The company invests in a number of sectors including, Healthcare, Industrials, Services and Renewable Energy and adopts a deep sector focus which makes enables them to better support the management of those companies.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within the Finance team the successful applicant will be responsible for the management accounting for both the corporate entity and the portfolio companies.
The candidate will be working directly for the Financial Controller and will have some supervisory responsibility for one member of staff and helping to manage various external accounting services.
More specifically the role will involve the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts pack, together with supporting commentary and relevant Key Performance Indicators for submission to the Board.
As well as this you will be responsible for producing the quarterly re-forecasting of the group’s financial performance and the preparation of the group’s annual budget as well as longer term financial projections

YOUR PROFILE

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join an outstanding private equity business.
You will need to have a strong academics, specifically a graduate with a 2:1 minimum degree and experience of working in the Financial Services sector, preferably in Investment Management.
You will also need to be able to evidence having taken full responsibility for the management accounting processes and have the ability to work with a large degree of autonomy and to meet tight reporting deadlines
Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access) will also be a distinct advantage.
