City: ALEXANDRIA Type: PRN Shift: Any Facility: HEALTHPLEX Schedule: Days Vary Department: 160817-Inova Alexandria Hospital-HEALTHPLEX - RADIOLOGY Hours Per Pay Period: 1.00 Req #: 20015 ***We are seeking a PRN (as needed) Sonographer for our Radiology department located in the Inova Healthplex in Springfield, VA*** Provides clinical services according to ultrasound practice standards and acts as a resources to students, residents, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions. Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of the patients. Demonstrates safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and employees. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. ***The schedule and hours of this position will vary depending on need*** Job Education Requirements : Must have at least 3 years of work experience as a sonographer. Have the capability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekends as required. Education Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. RDMS or RVT or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must obtain registration with ARDMS within 24 months of graduation. CPR certification.
