Pro E Designer Job in Aberdeen, Scotland Uk
An exciting position for a a Pro E designer has arisen with our client in Aberdeen, a world leading Oil and gas company.
The Designer within the Surface Offshore Proposals group will be responsible for the production of design work in using the following design software packages (ACAD and Pro-Engineer). The designer shall follow direction of the lead designer, supporting the efforts and pursuits of new business through preparation of designs, drawings and rendered images. The designer will work alongside the proposals engineers in developing both existing and new solutions and developing these using Pro-Engineer.
Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Liaise with Engineer and assists in interpreting customers proposals for the execution of projects.
Prepare assembly and detailed models by means of either Pro-E or ACAD under direction of the Engineer.
Prepare hydraulic schematics, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PID's), by means of either Pro-E or ACAD under direction of the Engineer.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), by means of EPIM's, under direction of the Engineer.
Assist in identifying and ensuring equipment is designed in accordance with the current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
Participate in design reviews where required.
Identify improvements in existing products, procedures and processes and develop cost effective solutions to satisfy customer specifications.
Qualifications and Experience
· HNC/HND in Engineering or time served apprenticeship
