Process Improvement Engineer Job

The Process Improvement Engineer owns quality and improvement for the Assembly processes - key metrics include: Quality Yield, Scrap, SCR, OGR. Essential Responsibilities * Monitor scrap data/reports to drive resolution of scrap issues and work projects to prevent future scrap. * Monitor yield data/reports to drive resolution of yield issues and work projects to improve future yield and OGR. * Develop Preventative Maintenance plans and ensure compliance to CTQ's and maximize equipment uptime. * Develop a stringent area Quality Plan that monitors what should be right in the manufacturing process and finished product. * Review inspection results from support areas and look for trends and significant or abnormal events to improve quality yields and reduce scrap from support areas. * Review daily service calls for trends (particularly negative) and significant or abnormal changes to reduce SCR in Assembly areas and reduce OGR. * Drive to maintain a partnership with our shop operations personnel to promote a team that reacts aggressively to factory inefficiencies. * Implement Poka-Yoke work methods, and develop workstation aids to assist in operator training. Qualifications/Requirements: BS Technical degree or comparable experience required. Six Sigma training / Green Belt Certification. Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing/operations or quality roles. Proven ability to influence and drive change Solid verbal/written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Advanced computer skills - high proficiency in Microsoft products (especially Excel) and ability to grasp new systems quickly Strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to scope and analyze cross-functional problems to generate/implement solutions. High initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results oriented, a team player. Some travel may be required.
