This is Functional Transformation Leader position within the Materials Strategy Integration (MSI) organization of Aero Materials Management (MM). This position is responsible for creating MM strategies as well as the project management and implementation of AERO MM and Corporate procurement initiatives in support of Working Capital improvement, Inventory and Cycle Time reductions, Functional Transformation, and VPD. Key responsibilities include:

• Initiate, organize, and coordinate 5 year Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan for Sourcing Functional Transformation (FT). • Generate and report FT metrics, variance analysis, and root cause analysis. • Act in the capacity of the primary FT focal point for Aero MM • Define global strategies by benchmarking best practices and developing financial scenerios and models • Create and manage implementation project plans • Lead and / or participate in cross functional project teams • Create detail budget plans and identify supporting projects that will enable the project goals • Define standard work, training materials, and Aero policies / procedures • Create controls plans to ensure adherence to standard work • Complete root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions where projected results are below plan • Generate and report project metrics to all levels of the organizations • Participate and attend leadership meetings to provide status and communicate issues on projects • Be the key interface between MM, E2E, Sites, and Corporate.

 

Basic Qualifications:
 
• US citizenship required due to government contracts• Bachelor's degree in relevant field• 10+ years experience in materials management within a manufacturing environmentAdditional Qualifications:
• Green belt certification strongly desired

• MBA preferred - Operations Research or industrial engineering masters degree preferred• Management experience or demonstrated ability of leading through influence• SAP, MRP and WePlan experience• Multi-site experience in driving process improvements• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills• Statistics knowledge and practical utilization• Advanced Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing training desired• Project management training and PMP certification desired• APICS certification highly desired
