My client is a global Shipping firm based in Essex; they are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team.
Essential skills experience as a Procurement Manager:
• Degree educated or equivalent and ideally CIPS qualified
• Experience of designing, developing and implementing multinational procurement strategies
• Experience of contract drafting and post contract award relationship management; driving supplier KPIs and continuous improvement activities
• Experience of managing cost reduction activities with a demonstrable track record in total cost reduction
• Strong project management skills with proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Role as a Procurement Manager:
My client have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager who has significant operational experience in Commercial and Government contracts, to join them to work in conjunction with hemisphere and business stream management around the globe.
The Procurement Manager will plan and execute sub contracting, purchasing and procurement strategies for supply of service and general consumables, including communication and IT spend and undertake a process mapping project for our key purchasing processes.
The Procurement Manager will also define the objectives of products and services in order to oversee compliances, quality and risk, monitor and analyse trends in our Group spending, and work closely with Corporate Compliance to create a purchasing and negotiation module so that capability can be built into the organisation.
The Procurement Manager will be based at our International Headquarters in Essex, UK and therefore all interested applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
