Investment Fund Product Analyst - Job Posting

A rapidly growing Philadelphia-based alternative asset management firm is seeking a full-time Analyst for an immediate start. The Product Analyst will work closely with the firm’s Associates and senior staff members in managing a wide variety of projects and processes for Franklin Square’s funds, including portfolio monitoring, investment analysis, budgeting and forecasting, the creation of marketing presentations and the preparation of the funds’ regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The position represents a unique opportunity to work with experienced investment professionals while developing valuable skills in the fields of finance and investment management (such as a proficiency in financial modeling and valuation analysis, for example). The successful candidate will take pride in producing thorough, error-free work and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Because the candidate is expected to have the capacity to handle a variety of complex tasks that require a high degree of precision (within tight time frames), a high level of intellect, attention to detail, superior time management skills and a strong work ethic will be important to the candidate’s success. The position also requires strong written and verbal communications skills and exceptional Microsoft Office skills, with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. An outstanding academic record and degree from a top undergraduate institution (finance, economics or accounting background preferred).
  2. 1-3 years experience in investment banking, private equity, accounting, leveraged finance, commercial banking, asset management, hedge fund, corporate finance or other experience equivalent to any of the above.
  3. An understanding of the capital markets, accounting, financial analysis, and asset valuation.

Compensation will be market competitive and will include a base salary with a performance-based bonus.
