PRODUCT CONTROL ANALYST
My client, one of the most notable Investment Banks in the region are currently recruiting for a Product Control Analyst.
This role requires extensive liaison with the trading desks, the Risk Management Group and the Operations Teams, as well as with colleagues in Controllers.
The core responsibilities involve:
•Monitor the trading activity; highlight and report unusual activity.
•To be fully informed of all developments and issues in their trading areas.
•Identify any trades booked incorrectly in the firm’s trade processing systems.
•Interact with traders and their management.
•Liaise with Operations in problem solving capacity.
•Assess risk inherent in trading positions, whether market, compliance or reputational risk etc.
•Prepare daily PL’s for trading desks, involving pricing reviews to ensure reasonable valuation of inventory, and substantial use of the firm’s accounting systems.
•Perform independent price verification on trading inventories.
•Month-end procedures preparing accounts for posting to the firm’s general ledger
You will have a at least 1 year of relevant work experience, with knowledge of financial products. In addition, strong communication skills, a team player and control mindset with the ability to work under pressure are all characteristics highly regarded. Ideally, you will be from a big 4 background having had experience in assurance and exposure working with financial services clients.
