Product Control Fixed Income Credit Rates recruitment
You will work for a Global Investment Bank, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of daily P L including verification of risk.
Product Control Fixed Income Credit Rates required at this Top Tier Investment Bank situated in South Africa. You will sit in the Product Control, Valuations, Middle Office with specific exposure to Interest Rates, Credit and Fixed Income Products.
- Responsible for daily PL production for various portfolios
- Take ownership of balance sheet and understand movements on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis to report to the Front Office, Financial Control, and Regulatory
- Prepare daily PL and PV reconciliations (FOBOs) and substantiation of positions, prices, factors, paydowns, and net interest
- Preparation of consolidated financial information for Senior FO and Finance Management
- Ensure all staff are trained and fully understand the underlying revenue attribution approach
- Product specific subject matter experts within the team and across finance
- Monitor compliance with loss thresholds and trader mandates, along with new business support
- Daily/weekly/monthly PL and balance sheet commentary
- Monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to the general ledger
- Help analysts understand and complete the daily PL
- Challenge existing processes and controls ensuring best practice across finance
- Manage a team of controllers (analysts) to ensure a high level of FO client service
You have a working understanding of Credit Products, including Corp/Muni bonds, Credit Default Swaps CDS/CDX and their rates hedge products (Interest Rate Swaps, Treasuries, Futures) Combined with Strong Excel skills.
Residing in their South Africa, Johannesburg office
You possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
